Mad Men and Kenny
You probably know more people than you think.
Your parents know people. Your siblings know people. Your spouse knows people. Your cousins know people.
Your parents' friends own businesses. Your brother's college roommate might run a company. Your aunt might sit on a nonprofit board.
You don't need to ask your family for clients.
Ask them for introductions.
“Who are three interesting people you think I should meet?”
Then meet them.
Your family isn't a sales force. They're part of your network.
Do This This Week: Ask three family members to name three people they think you should know professionally.
